No new deal for Cole or anyone else, says Big Sam

Amid reports this morning that West Ham striker Carlton Cole has been offered a new contract worth more than £1.5m a year, Hammers boss Sam Allardyce has denied that any such deal has been tabled by the club.

The 59 year old told TalkSport this morning that the out-of-contract striker has "not been offered a contract verbally" and furthermore, that no deals will be discussed for any Irons players out of contract this summer or returning from loan periods until the end of the season.

On the future of 20 year old midfielder Ravel Morrison, currently on loan at Championship side Birmingham City, Allardyce stated that "I've said it all along, we'll discuss it [a new contract] when the season's over."

"With the loan players and those out of contract, we will sit down and make a judgment before we enter into contracts with any other players."

Big Sam is going to have to get his skates on, especially with Morrison, with recent reports linking the former Manchester United starlet with a summer return to Manchester, after fallen champions City reportedly made discreet enquiries last week about the former England U19 international's availability.
