West Ham are on red alert after the agent of Arsenal striker Joel Campbell confirmed that the Costa Rican has received his work permit.

Joaquim Batica told ESPN: "Joel has received his visa and I am in London with him working on his future."

"I had meetings with Arsenal and we are working on his next destination."

The Hammers are keen to sign another striker as support and, in the early stages of the season, back-up to Andy Carroll as the England striker recovers from a heel injury incurred in the final game of last season- and young Gunner Campbell would fit the bill perfectly, with Arsenal keen to loan the 20 year old out to another Premier League side.

Top flight new boys Crystal Palace, however, start the early favourites to land the Costa Rica international.
