West Ham manager Sam Allardyce will make a decision in the next few days on whether or not to sign Dutch trialist Orlando Engelaar.
The 31 year old appeared as a substitute in Saturday's friendly win over Championship side Bournemouth and is currently without a club, following his release by PSV in May.
The Hammers boss wants to sign a central midfielder after Gary O'Neil rejected a new deal at the club and was linked on Friday with a move for Inter Milan's Zdravko Kuzmanovic, but is considering the signing of Holland international Engelaar as well and, according to TalkSport, will make a decision on the midfielder in the coming days, likely by the end of the week.
