West Ham striker Mobido Maiga is reportedly in bother at Upton Park after, according to the Sun, he came back to London from the African Cup of Nations a whole 48 hours later after he was supposed to report. The Mali international played in his country's 3-1 third/four place play off victory over Ghana on Saturday, but didn't touch down in the UK till Wednesday. The Hammers are now trying to find out whether this was a deliberate misdemeanour on the 26 year old's part, or whether it was simply a mix-up with the Mali FA over his return flight. Maiga has been in excellent form for West Ham this season when he has played, but has been in and out of the team and was linked throughout the January transfer window with a move back to France, with Marseille and Bordeaux both reportedly interested in attaining his services.
