Italian giants Inter enter race for West Ham target Bony

Blowing Bubbles understands that Serie A team Inter Milan have entered the race to sign Wilfried Bony from Vitesse Arnhem. The Hammers are known to be keen on the pacy striker, who is enjoying a fantastic campaign in the Eredivisie and already faced stiff competition for him from Russian sides Zenit St Petersburg (who he was believed to be in talks with on Monday- but which have since broken down) and Anzhi Makhachkala; but this new development in the race to sign the Ivory Coast international may well put the dampeners on any aspirations West Ham boss Sam Allardyce may have held of bringing the 24 year old to East London.  I Nerazzurri are having a dreadful season by their standards in Italy, lying 5th in the Serie A table, twelve points adrift of leaders Juventus and are competing in the Europa League, having failed to qualify for the Champions League- a humiliating state of affairs, for a side who lifted the trophy only three years ago. As such, the club are in the market for a proven goalscorer who can help turn their season around, and hitman Bony would fit the bill. We'll keep you posted on any new developments as they come in.
