Irons to face Stef competition for Leverkusen striker Kiessling

West Ham are keen on Bayer Leverkusen striker Stefan Kiessling but will face competition for the German international's signature, according to the player's agent, Ali Bulut. Speaking to German newspaper Bild, Bulut stated that German champions Borussia Dortmund, who are preparing to lose their star forward Robert Lewandoski in the summer, are keen on the 29 year old. Kiessling is one of a number of striking options the Hammers are looking into, with the permanent signing of on-loan Liverpool forward Andy Carroll looking an increasingly unlikely option; and we have been linked with a move for Ivory Coast star Wilfried Bony in recent days. This could well be just another case of an agent stirring the pot and trying to generate interest in his client a la Willie McKay with Momo Diame, but if Dortmund are interested, it seems unlikely the player will be heading to East London.
