Irons almost there on Olympic Stadium- last of big issues resolved

According to the Telegraph, West Ham are "one step closer to being handed the keys" to the Olympic Stadium in Stratford after reportedly having "reached an agreement on key areas of dispute," which had been dragged out for weeks on end with the London 2012 legacy bosses. A proposal is set to be put forward to the LLDC next Tuesday, and as we reported the other day, an official club announcement of the Hammers' tenancy at the stadium is planned for later this month. The club are understood to have conceded to the LLDC and Mayor of London Boris Johnson's demands for a cut of any profit if the club were sold. West Ham last night refused to comment but a spokesman for LLDC said "things are going well but we're not there yet." All in all, it looks like a deal is not far off and this Olympic Stadium stuff is becoming all too real now.
