Hammers should stick with Allardyce, says ex number two Brown

Ex Hull manager Phil Brown has told TalkSport that; amidst media tittle-tattle surrounding the respective futures of Sam Allardyce and Paolo Di Canio, who resigned as manager of League Two side Swindon Town last night; West Ham would be making a big mistake of they got rid of Big Sam. Brown, who worked under Allardyce as his assistant manager at Bolton Wanderers, said that the 58 year old "put his credentials on the line" when he took the Upton Park hotseat. "He's been a Premier League manager for the last decade and he's gone down into the Championship to pull them up by their bootlaces into their Premier League and now they're mid table. What more can he do? Only the top six- and I exclude Liverpool from that- are safe from relegation these days- so what more can he do?" What more indeed? It's refreshing, in the midst all this media frenzy and inane "superfan"-instigated Paolo-mania, to hear a voice of reason. Well said, Phil Brown.
