Hammers move to Stratford set to be announced in next fortnight

According to the Daily Express, West Ham will announce the club's move to the Olympic Stadium in Stratford on a pencilled-in date of February 19. Finding a new tenant for the athletics stadium, with government panicking over the venue becoming a "white elephant" after last summer's Olympic Games, has been a long, drawn-out process, but not looks to be coming to an end. Irons vice-chairman Karren Brady held talks last week with the London Mayor's Office and the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) and all seems to be going swimmingly, so the finer details just need to be thrashed out with the lawyers. Immediately after announcing the club's move to the stadium, the Hammers are expected to consult their fans for their views on the move. Well that's nice, isn't it? Always good to know that our club value the views of us fans so highly that they'll do what they want first and then ask our views. Fantastic.
