Collison can't wait to prove himself again

West Ham and Wales international midfielder Jack Collison has spoken about being able to play football again after struggling with injury.

It was once feared that Collison, 24, would not play regular football again after suffering a serious knee injury during May’s Championship play off final win against Blackpool, but he is now ready to play and feeling fit.

He is part of the Wales squad facing Austria tomorrow night, and speaking ahead of the game he revealed his injury frustrations.

Speaking to Sky News, Collison said: "It's been great to be back out on the pitch because it's been a bit of a long time once again... it’s been frustrating after playing almost the whole of last season and then watching the boys play in the Premier League week in, week out against the best teams.”

"It's good to be back and I've had some good games since then. I'm looking to build on those now and prove myself again...to be honest, the knee feels better than it has done in about three years, which is obviously good."

Great to have Jack back, and we wish him well in his international games too.
