A round Pog in a round hole- Austrian cruncher settling in well

Austrian captain Emanuel Pogatetz has revealed his desire to stay at Upton Park after his loan spell ends.

The on-loan defender is enjoying his time at the club, despite his first start being marked by defeat to Aston Villa.

Pogatetz said: "It is brilliant to be here. The pace of the game, the crowd and also the group of lads and how we go about things.

"I will try my best and hopefully I will be able to stay a little bit longer than just four months, we will see how it works at the end of the season.”

He also spoke of the togetherness of the West Ham squad and knows that he’s working with a “really good group of lads”.

An interesting insight into the side from Emanuel. If someone can settle in that quickly, he might go far.
